Born on 16 November 1936 in Pedaparupudi village of Krishna district, Cherukuri Ramoji Rao rose from humble beginnings to become one of the iconic faces of Telugu cinema. Initially pursuing journalism as the founder and chief editor of ‘Eenadu’, Ramoji Rao later ventured into film production.
