The film has Dulquer Salmaan as Gemini Ganesan. Samantha Akkineni plays the documentary filmmaker Madhuravani and Vijay Deverakonda pairs her. Shalini Pandey plays Savitri’s friend, “Jamuna.” The film has been certified as U by the censor board. “Mickey J Meyer” composed the music. With the makeup and the costumes, the team converted Keerthy to Savitri. The costumes were designed and made by more than hundred people, stated a source close to the Mahanati team. Mahanati, the Telugu version releases on 9th May and the Tamil version releases on 11th May.
