The sequel for Chennai 600 028 is all set to shoot in places aside from Chennai like Theni, Thenkasi, and Kutralam. A list of female artists was shortlisted to play Vijay’s female interest. Vijayalakshmi, who played the lead role besides him in the first installment, will also play the second lead in the sequel. She will be seen playing a crucial role in the film. However, it has been reported that Anjena Kriti of Andhahdi fame was brought in. She will be seen playing the role of a Chennai girl in the film and Vijay’s lady. Anjena has already shot for a few sequences for the film with him and Vijayalakshmi.
