There was a controversy stating that there are more competent artistes than Manju. However, the controversies were put an end card and the award is presented to Manju. She was awarded by Academy Chairman Soorya Krishanmoorthy. Manju Warrier said in a polite way that there are many artistes who are more talented than her. She wonders that, whether she is eligible for the award or not. She thanked the jury for selecting her and got her acceptance that she will take initiatives to learn more dance skills with dedication and sincerity, as long as she could. What a humble lady!
