Earlier, it was said that Maniyan was about to produce the film. Citing the production cost, he opted out from the film. The film was estimated to be produced at a cost of Rs. 9 crores. As Maniyanpilla Raju walked out, the film would be produced by Supriya Films, the home banner of Prathap and Rejaputhra Films of Ranjith. Prathap’s last production venture was a Tamil film “Athma” in 1993. After two decades, Prathap is ready to test his financial capacity.
