Sulabha Deshpande
, the Bollywood cum Marathi actress passed away at her residence in Mumbai today. She was 79-years-old. Due to the age-related illness, Sulabha was bedridden. She is a well-known theater artist, who has acted in several plays written by
Vijay Tendulkar
,
Vijay Mehta
and
Satyadev Dubey
. With all these three people she started a Marathi theater group called, “Rangayan.” In 1971, she started her theater “Awishkar” with her husband,
Arvind Deshpande
. After Arvind died in 1987, Sulabha managed it all by herself. She had also performed in a lot of serials and Hindi movies, including, “
Bhumika
,” which released in 1977, 'Arvind Desai Ki Ajeeb Dastaan' in 1978 and in “Gaman.” Her latest appearance was in “
English Vinglish
” directed by
Gauri Shinde
and featured by “Sridevi. Our deepest condolences to her family! May her soul rest in peace!
