Veteran Actress Sulabha Deshpande Is No More!
Sulabha Deshpande, the Bollywood cum Marathi actress passed away at her residence in Mumbai today. She was 79-years-old. Due to the age-related illness, Sulabha was bedridden. She is a well-known theater artist, who has acted in several plays written by Vijay Tendulkar, Vijay Mehta and Satyadev Dubey. With all these three people she started a Marathi theater group called, “Rangayan.” In 1971, she started her theater “Awishkar” with her husband, Arvind Deshpande. After Arvind died in 1987, Sulabha managed it all by herself. She had also performed in a lot of serials and Hindi movies, including, “ Bhumika,” which released in 1977, 'Arvind Desai Ki Ajeeb Dastaan' in 1978 and in “Gaman.” Her latest appearance was in “ English Vinglish” directed by Gauri Shinde and featured by “Sridevi.
