Dhadak 2 To Release Now On This Date

After multiple delays, Dhadak 2 is finally set to hit the silver screens on this date.

Dhadak 2 is the spiritual sequel to the movie of the same name, which had released in 2018, and starred Ishaan Khatter and Jahnvi Kapoor in prominent roles. The movie was based on the Marathi classic Sairat, and despite mixed reviews, was a commercial success when it released in July 2018. Interestingly, Ajay Atul provided the music for both the original and the remake version.

The movie was originally set to release in early 2024. However, multiple production delays, as well as the objections posed by the Censor Board delayed the release of the movie to August 2025. Interestingly, Dhadak 2 was delayed on almost the same grounds as Pratik Gandhi’s Phule, which was the biopic of Jyotiba Phule and his wife Savitri. It was another matter that the movie didn’t even earn a fraction of its budget when it released on April 25.
