Sumeet Mittal Talks About His Journey!

Writer and director Sumeet Mittal has completed seventeen years in the Hindi television industry and has delivered some super hit shows like Diya Aur Baati Hum, Punar Vivaah, Meri Paakhi and much more. The director feels that the journey of the production house ‘Shashi Sumeet Productions’ has been incredible and its success is because of the quality of the shows. He congratulates the team and lauds them for the consistent dedication towards the work. Although there were several challenges, the coordinated teamwork of the people involved made it a fulfilling experience. According to him the most difficult task is to keep the audience enthralled and attracted towards the show throughout. Hence the quality of the content plays a significant role. The genres that the production house is mostly working on are horror, supernatural, adventure and comedy. He further rubbishes the rumors of his show ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’, which recently completed 1300 episodes, going off the air and says that although there was a drop in the TRP of the show, the team is working on quality content and will be coming up with more episodes. He clarifies that he does not mind a few serials which are coming up with supernatural concepts, following his show that introduced the concept. He feels that once a new trend becomes a hit, it is bound to get copied. He reveals that there are several shows lined up and that the main focus is on the quality of the content. Also, he says, that the team will soon be announcing its Bollywood venture.
