. The extensive use of cusswords in the leaker promo of the film had prevented it from the release. An observer is quite confident that SU will not pass the Board Certification and if at all it does, it would be quite disappointing.
Manoj Bajpayee, the lead actor of SU, wonders how the trailer got leaked at the first place since it is still with the Boards. Also, he comments that the expletives have nothing to do with sensationalising- some people feel that they have been used to make it sound “cool” which is not the case. The film’s plot is such that it demanded to be that way. The actor reveals that the movie is based on Chandni Chowk of New Delhi, an area where this is the exact manner of the way they communicate. To present the lives of the people there, the team had to keep the mannerisms raw and true. The intention is not to disrespect or grab attention- the actor says that all the “gaalis” used are there because it is a part and parcel of the lives for the residents there.
