Motorola’s Rollable Smartphone Brings Apps To Your Wrist News

Motorola has unveiled its unique rollable smartphone at the Mobile World Congress 2024. This ‘rollable concept phone’ can be worn on your wrist like a slap bracelet, and it brings your calls, text messages, directions, and other apps to your wrist.

This wearable phone has a flexible touchscreen, and doesn’t budge even if you wave your hand while the phone is attached to your wrist. The rollable concept phone can also stand on a flat surface, and the tech company says this is ideal for shooting photos and videos even without a tripod. In a demo, Motorola twisted this flexible phone into a tent-like shape, and it launched an app that plays Connect 4.

The Rollable Concept Phone cannot be folded in half like Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold, so the touchscreen has no crease. While their rival foldables have one hinged point, this concept phone from Motorola has multiple to allow all the different shapes. Motorola did not reveal how many battery cells were used in this phone since this is just a concept handset, and they are unsure if this phone will be launched as a consumer product.
