You can download the beta version of the Nvidia app starting today and the best part is that logging in is optional.
Nvidia’s desktop software was fragmented for some time. Many fundamental display settings can be adjusted through the Nvidia Control Panel. However, it is separated from the GeForce Experience, and logging in is needed to download driver updates.
The brand new Nvidia app offers huge changes with the merging of Control Panel and GeForce Experience. They also redesigned the user interface, and this all-in-one app will help users modify game and driver settings for better performance. The most important update is that you don’t need to log in to your Nvidia account to update your driver. Nvidia says logging in is now optional and will only be available for users who want to redeem bundles and rewards from their Nvidia account.
The new Nvidia app offers a fully customizable experience compared to the old GeForce Experience app. However, broadcasting on YouTube and Twitch is not available. If you wish to try the new Nvidia app, it is available to download on the Nvidia website, but the Control Panel app won’t be replaced immediately. It will remain active since some features have been added to the new software.
