First Look On Realme 12+5G

Realme is coming with their latest flagship device, the Realme 12+ 5G. It was initially unveiled in Indonesia and Malaysia before it was launched in India. Ollivier Savéo, a luxury watch designer, co-designed Realme’s latest handset, so it is expected to be a sweet-looking phone. This luxury watch-inspired smartphone has a polycarbonate frame with a reflective glossy finish. It has a nice green faux leather back, which makes the phone look more elegant.

Realme 12+ 5G boasts an Octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset with a huge 4,356.62 square millimeter stainless steel vapor chamber, which can help reduce temperature even when playing hard games. This chipset is coupled with an ARM Mali-G68 MC4 GPU and has 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of internal storage. An 8GB variant is available, and RAM is expandable up to 12GB. You will get an Android 14-based Realme UI 5.0 out-of-the-box. Similar to the recent Realme UI versions, it is one of the market’s most enhanced and concise Android skins. It comes with pre-installed applications, which can be disabled or uninstalled after the initial setup. The device features a 6.67-inch Full High-Definition + AMOLED screen with up to 120Hz refresh rates and a 92.56 percent screen-to-body ratio.

Instead of the conventional camera island on the side, the Realme 12+ 5G’s camera island is positioned at the center. You may think the phone has four sensors, but it’s only a triple rear camera setup with a gold bezel around it. This phone has a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 primary shooter with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8-megapixel camera combined with an ultra-wide angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. There is also a centered punch-hole for the 16-megapixel front camera.

Realme 12+ 5G has a Rainwater Smart Touch feature that distinguishes actual finger input and unintended water touches, which enhances touch accuracy. It is also packed with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 67W SuperVOOC fast wired charging. This mid-range phone is also equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock. It supports multiple connectivity such as Bluetooth 5.2, USB Type-C, 5G, NFC, Wi-Fi, 3.5mm audio jack, Antenna Array Matrix system, and stereo speakers. It weighs 190g and boasts a thickness of 7.87mm. Realme 12+ 5G is available in two color variants - Pioneer Green and Navigator Beige. The phone can carry up to two nano-SIM cards.

The price of Realme 12+ 5G in Indonesia is roughly around IDR 41,99,000 or Rs. 22,000 for the 8GB+256GB storage variant. It is priced in Malaysia at MYR 1,499 or roughly Rs. 26,200 for the 12GB+256GB storage variant.
