An actor should ideally follow the script strictly and perform as the director instructs them. But sometimes, actors tend to act freely and create some moments that weren’t meant to be in the movie. These moments can turn out to be pure cinematic gold at times. Surprisingly, some of the most memorable moments weren’t even supposed to be there, and today we look at some of the best unscripted moments in Bollywood movies.

The whole sequence leading up to the song Agar Tum Saath Ho is so emotional and heart-wrenching that it is bound to make everyone cry, and when the song comes on, it becomes even sadder. The whole sequence of both Ranbir and Deepika crying, Ranbir running away, and Deepika chasing him in the streets to comfort him was unscripted. The Aao Aao scene has come to represent DDLJ in general. This scene was impromptu and improvised by Big B. Amitabh was supposed to rehearse the scene in the absence of the director, with only the assistant director present. Still, he completely nailed it and delivered it perfectly in one take, which is the mark of a legendary actor.

7. Teja Main Hun (Andaz Apna Apna)

Andaz Apna Apna remains a true comedy classic of Bollywood and still holds up today. It has given us numerous iconic and memorable dialogues that get quoted even today. A dialogue that people many people reference while discussing the movie is the iconic Main Hun Teja. Many of the films’ conversations, including this one, were improvised, and got added at the last moment. It is a true cult classic comedy.

9. The Water Flower Scene (Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge)

DDLJ comes once again on our list with another surprising unscripted moment. We are talking about the scene where Raj pretends to be ashamed of his action and apologizes to Simran. He then gives her a flower to show how sorry he is. Surprising Simran along with the viewers, the flower is a tricky one that spurs out water onto Simran’s face. What’s more shocking is that Kajol had no idea something like that would happen, and her reaction was 100% genuine.

10. Definite And Shamshad’s Encounter (Gangs Of Wasseypur 2)

Another iconic scene comes from the second part of this classic movie. The scene where Definite goes to Shamshad Alam’s house to kill him starts as serious but gets hilarious as it goes on. Definite’s gun jams, and he is unable to shoot Shamshad, and then Shamshad grabs another gun and runs after Definite to shoot him. The gun in the scene was a real gun that jammed mid-scene, and what happened next was purely unscripted.
