Syed Ather Jafri is a post-production head based in Lahore, Pakistan. He predominantly works in the post-production sound department in Pakistani films and TV series. He has studied at Forman Christian College, Lahore. In 1988, he started working as Stockist at Philips Electrical Industries. In January 2009, he started working as a post-production head at IB Productions, and since May 2014, he has been working at Soundbox Audio Post Production.Â
In 2010, Syed started his journey in the entertainment industry as a sound recording and dialogue editor in a movie called Channa Sachi Muchi. It was a story that originated in 1947 during the partition of the subcontinent and revolves around a girl named Pooja (Saima), who is Hindu by descent, and a Muslim boy named Bao (Moamar Rana).
