Zahid Ahmed is an Urdu theatre, film, and television actor. He also practiced as a Radio Jockey for some years. Zahid Iftikhar Ahmed was born and brought up in Rawalpindi in Pakistan. Zahid Ahmed finished his schooling at Beaconhouse School and pursued his MBA in Marketing from Preston University in 2006. He started his professional career as a training specialist in a telecom company and moved over to work as a training and development manager at Nokia. In 2011, Zahid started working for an IT Company as Chief Operating Officer, and that’s when things took an abrupt turn. He met with an accident, injuring his spine. As he had a prior experience as an RJ before, where he has hosted shows The Breakfast Show, and The Rush Hour in City FM 89, he got the offer to host the gaming show The Bumper2Bumper.
Later, he joined the Pakistan Television Network as Senior Creative Manager and hosted some shows. As a theatre artist, It Runs in the Family was his first drama in 2006. Following the play, he did some more dramas, including Bombay Dreams as Vikram, Ronnie in Home is where Clothes Are, Phantom of the Opera as Raoul de Chagny, and Run for your Wife as John Smith. His breakthrough happened in 2013 when he took up the role of Muhammad Ali Jinnah in the drama Sawa on 14 August. He had to shed 22 kgs for the character and had a fascinating transition. He experienced a golden period as a theatre artist with the plays Half Plate and Pawnay 14 August.
Impressed by his acting, Zahid Ahmed got roped in to play the lead role in the Hum TV soap opera Mehram as Hamza in 2014. He appeared in a negative character, Rameez, in the show Alvida. For his performance as Rameez, Zahid Ahmed received the Best Actor in a Negative Role award at the 4th Hum TV Awards. Following Alvida, he did shows like Jugnoo, Tum Mere Paas Raho, and Sangat with Hum TV. Zahid Ahmed played the lead role in Besharam,
