Shaukat Hussain Rizvi was an actor, producer, and director, predominantly working in the Pakistani Film Industry. He is considered the founder of the Pakistani Film Industry. Shaukat was born in 1914 inAzamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, India.

Shaukat directed and produced numerous critically acclaimed and commercially successful movies. Some of his prominent works include Naukar(1943), Dost(1944), Zeenat(1945), and Jugnu(1947).
