Pakistani actor Paras Masroor performs on stage and television. He began his acting career in theater before transitioning to television. In Momina Duraid's Sang-e-Mar Mar (2016), he played the part of Torah Khan, for which he won the Hum Award for Best Supporting Actor. He also appeared in the 2014 films Na Maloom Afrad and Mah e Mir (2016). His father, Beydil Masroor, is a musician and writer who also served as senior director/producer for PTV for about 35 years. Paras inherited his interest in the arts from him, as he's also involved in sculpture, painting, drawing, and music. He comes from a Sindhi Sufi family that is involved in the arts. His grandfather, Ghulam Ali Masroor, wrote Sufi poetry in six languages (Arabic, Persian (he can play the tabla and the guitar).
He completed a Master's degree in sociology and mass media at Karachi University before enrolling in the NAPA's acting program. He is an exceptionally gifted and distinguished supporting actor. Ghulam Ali Masroor, also known as Faqeer, was his grandfather. He composed Sufi poetry in six languages—Arabic, Persian, Urdu, Sindhi, Seraiki, and English.
