He was born on 5 August, 1908 in Ithanagar village near Tenali, Madras Presidency, in Gantur, in Andhra Pradesh in India in a middle class family who was affiliated in agricultural occupation. He died on 24 September, 1975. He was born and lived in Telugu culture and he learnt Hindi from a famous author Vraj Nandan Sharma after that he started to taught himself English, Tamil, and Sanskrit languages and mastered in all these langauges. He was an Indian film director, writer, and a producer in Telugu Film Industry. He has received two Filmfare Awards for Telugu movies.
