Gummadi Venkateswara Rao was a popular Telugu actor cum producer. He has also shown his face in some Tamil films too. He worked as a character artist. His films count exceeds 500. His birth place is Ravikampudu in Andhra Pradesh. He was famous for his role as a father and also renowned for his roles in mythological movies. He has performed all kinds of roles like a hero, villain, comedian and character artist. He was a stage actor in the beginning. His first entry on the stage was in the year 1942, as an old man. In the film Missama, he acted in a guest role along with Savithri Ganesan. The film had Akkineni Nageshwar Rao in the lead role. Gummadi Venkateswara Rao has five daughters and two sons. He has acted in the bilingual movie Maya Bazaar. When the film was reprinted and reprocessed in color printing, he was very happy, as his movie was again released to be shown to the younger generation. He has done varieties of roles as a doctor, farmer, Chief Minister, Policeman and Principal and many more. He has received the Padma Shri award from the government of India in the year 1977. He was also the proud recipient of Rashtarapathi Awards and Nandi Awards. He breathed his last breathe in the year 2010 at the age of 82.

Ram Mohan is an Indian Film producer who was born on 21 May 1969. He has produced a few Telugu movies namely ‘Ashta Chamma’, ‘Golconda High School’ and ‘Uyyala Jampala’. He has studied at IIT and IIM and has worked in a Senior Management role in the production houses like Suresh Productions and UTV. However he had released the movies ‘Ashta Chamma’ and ‘Golconda High School’ under his production house ‘Art Beat Capital Pvt Ltd’His other movie ‘Uyyala Jampala’ which stars Raj Tarun and Avika Gor in the lead roles has been produced under ‘Sunshine Cinemas PvtLtd’ which is a Telugu movie production house formed in the year 2012 and Akkineni Nagarjuna’s Annapurna Studios. This movie was release in the year 2013 and was declared as a hit. It also received good reviews and was marked as a good family entertainer and a romantic movie. This is a debut movie for both the actors in Telugu movies. While Raj Tarun had made short films before, his dream was to be a director. However, the makers of the movie convinced him to play the lead role as it was apt for him. Avika Gor is a famous actress in one of the leading TV Soaps, ‘Balika Vadhu’ and she was asked to come in for an audition and was selected for the female lead of this movie. It was Nagarjuna who advised Ram Mohan to case new actors in the movie and famous producer D.Suresh Babu also agreed to what Nagarjuna had suggested and hence the characters were played by new actors.After the release of the movie, Ram Mohan was in full praise of Nagarjuna stating that Nagarjuna gave him the respect and freedom to make this movie and waited patiently for the final product. He also states that Nagarjuna spots new talent and promotes them very well and never hesitates to work with them.



Chalam was a popular Telugu actor who got a prominent place in the cinema industry. He was born in the year 1929 at Palakollu in West Godavari district. His original name was Koradu Surya Chalam. He acted in all kinds of roles in Telugu cinema including the character and comedy roles. His performance was so natural and therefore he was loved by many people in Andhra. His style and body language made him to get a name as Andhra Dileep Kumar, among the Telugu people. He acted with all the top stars in the Telugu film industry during 1950s to 1970s. He was such a talented person and he was also engaged with making the sets for the shooting. Chalam got introduced to the Telugu cinema through Naa Chellelu. This movie did not identify him well among the Telugu audiences. His second movie Daasi produced by actress C. Lakshmi Rajyam, became a super hit and Chalam got a good name in that movie. Santanam, Bhale Ramudu, Kuladaivam, Dr. Chakravarthy, Preminchi Choodu, Navarathri, Amma Manasu and Tulabharam were few of his hit films. He has also acted with the next generation actors like Chiranjeevi, Kamal Hassan and Rao Gopal Rao. He worked as an art director too. He has also produced some Telugu movies. The popular Telugu stars during 60s, Shoban Babu and Chandra Mohan were very close to him. He was the producer of the film Matillo Manikyam. This movie got released in 1970 and got the National Award in the year 1971. He married his co-star Ramana Kumari and changed his name to Ramana Chalam. His wife Ramana Kumari died in a fire accident in the year 1964. He then remarried the popular actress Urvashi Sharada. Sharada was a co-star of Chalam in the movie Tandrulu Kodukulu. After a few years, this pair got divorced. Chalam breathed finally in the year 1979.
