The young actor who likes to play a powerful villain roles have learned mixed martial arts for three years and focused on developing his six-pack abs that made him more popular. During the first phase of his career, he struggled as an actor and ended on being part of small budget films. Charan re-planned his career and prepare himself by taking acting and dance classes, working out to get a better physique and learnt mixed martial arts. Since then, he started getting better opportunities and portrayed villain roles in films like Kalyanram Kathi and Darling. He said, he doesn’t want to be stereotyped with the same roles and an actor should try playing any roles.

He stated that Vijay encourage him so much that gave him enough confidence to do his job well. Vijay also helped him on delivering his dialogues in the film.
