Charandeep Surneni or better known as Charan is a Telugu actor who rose to fame after featuring in Tamil films, Jilla and
in year 2014. The young actor who likes to play a powerful villain roles have learned mixed martial arts for three years and focused on developing his six-pack abs that made him more popular. During the first phase of his career, he struggled as an actor and ended on being part of small budget films. Charan re-planned his career and prepare himself by taking acting and dance classes, working out to get a better physique and learnt mixed martial arts. Since then, he started getting better opportunities and portrayed villain roles in films like Kalyanram Kathi and Darling. He was also starred in the Telugu film,
in 2014, under the direction of Pradeep Maadugula. He said, he doesn’t want to be stereotyped with the same roles and an actor should try playing any roles.
As of the moment, he has one Kannada film, one Tamil film and four Telugu films in his kitty. Out of all his upcoming films, Charan was excited on the upcoming action film, Boxer; his debut in the Kannada film industry, which was directed by
. The film is about kickboxing and he admitted that his experience in mixed martial arts helps a lot. Charan also worked with actor Vijay for the second time in the Tamil action-adventure film, Puli. He stated that Vijay encourage him so much that gave him enough confidence to do his job well. Vijay also helped him on delivering his dialogues in the film.
Charandeep is also doing the Telugu films,
, Tungabhadra, Vyuhama and he is also part of the Telugu version of the magnum opus, Baahubali. He played as the brother of the villain from which he made few scenes in the first part and got extended role in the second part.
The Hyderabad-based actor is a B.Tech graduate also with a MBA before entering the world of entertainment.
