Abhinay Actor

Abhinay is an Indian actor who works mainly in the Tamil film industry. He is the grandson of the legendary real-life couple Gemini Ganesan Born in 1920, Gemini Ganesan, originally known as >> Read More... and Savithri.

Abhinay was born on 18th March and raised in Chennai, India. He completed his schooling at Sir.M.Venkata Subba Rao Matriculation Higher Secondary School and graduated from Loyola College, Chennai (Madras). Abhinay did his masters in International Studies from the United Kingdom.  Abhinay is a sports enthusiast and is a national level table tennis player. He is married to Aparna, and they have a daughter.

Even though coming from a family with a rich film acting background, Abhinay never thought of becoming an actor himself. His family never pushed him to pursue a career in the movie industry too. In an interview, Abhinay mentioned that the reason he chose to chase acting was that it is the only way he could carry his grandparents' legacy.

He made in acting debut with the film Ramanujan (2014), directed by National award-winning filmmaker Gnana Rajasekaran. The movie gathered a lot of critical acclaims and earned Abhinay a nomination at South Indian International Movie Awards in the Best Debut category. After the release of the movie, Abhinay took a break from acting. In 2016, he appeared in the sequel of director Venkat Prabhu's hit film Chennai 600028. In 2019, he played the lead character in the movie Vilambaram (2019), co-starring actress Aishwarya Rajesh Aishwarya Rajesh, commonly known as Iyshwarya, is >> Read More... . He is part of an adventure film starring actresses Simran and Trisha in the lead. The movie expected to release by the end of 2020.

Abhinay is a close friend of actor Bharath. Apart from acting, Abhinay is passionate about farming. During his vacation, he enjoys traveling to new places with his family. Abhinay, not concerned about the number of movies he acts, he is cautious about picking quality films and wants to do more such cinema in the future.
