Telugu Lyricist Mounasri Mallik

Mounasri Mallik is a well known Telugu poet and lyricist. His poetry book "Digambara" was released in 2009 and gained mass appreciation which included 10 state level awards. He also is a lyricist for Telugu movies. Some of the movies include Nalo Tolisariga (2007), Monday to Sunday (2009), Chetilo Cheyyisi (2010), Thrilling (2011), Gud Morning (2012), Izrai Devuni Agnalu (2013) and so on. Chetilo Cheyyisi and Gud Morning have been very important in his career. Nalo Tolisariga was his first movie as a lyricist. He had won platinum disc award for the movie Gud Morning. He has been appreciated widely by national and international celebrities for his ground breaking poetry. His ideas, imaginations, perseverance, hard work and creativity are the key factors for his success.

Mounasri Mallik was born on 4th March 1974 in Wardhannapet Warangal, Andhra Pradesh to Late Mr. Arelli Bakkaiah and late Mrs. Venkatamma. His parents were agricultural labors. He has three siblings an elder sister Radha, a younger sister Vijaya and an elder brother Arelli Buchaiah. All of them live in Andhra Pradesh. Mounasri is married to Swapna, who is a home maker and he also has a son named Srujan Viplove. Mounasri currently lives in Hyderabad with his family. He did his schooling in Wardhannapet and his bachelor's degree in commerce from CKM College, Warangal. He completed his master's degree from Potti Sriramulu Telegu University, Hyderabad. Mounasri is a recipient of various national and international awards for poetry. He has taken part in 168 poetry competitions.

Some of the awards he has received are Rajani Kundurthy Award for the poem Veeruni Vardhanti Roju, X Ray Award for the poem Oka Amanusha Parishwangam andBilavaani Award for Maarana Rangasthala Pradharshrna. He has also won the GVR - Aradhana Award, three times for the poems Amma America Dollara, Number Delete Cheyalenu and Malisandhaya Paadina Tholi Vekuva Paata. His book Digambara received wide recognition and was awarded with State level awards like Srujana Sahithi Samkhya (2010), Srujana Sahi thi Samithi (2010), Abhuday Foundation Award (2010), Cultural Association Award by Osmania University (2010), Yuva Sahithi Award (2010) Penna Award, She Foundation Award, Sathya Murthy Award (2011), Dr. Pattabhi Kala Peetham (2012) and Manasa Art Theatres Ugadi Puraskar (2013). Mounasri Mallik is not just a poet but is also a Senior Journalist, and he works as an Associate Editor for a monthly magazine Gouruvastu (Prajhaita Publishers), Hyderabad. Mounasri's latest poetry book is called Garalamm (2013).
