Chandala Kesavadasu is one of the most popular and first lyricist in the history of Telugu Film Industry. He was born to Chandala Laxminarayana and Papamma on 20 June 1876 in Jakkepalli Village, Telangana. He developed an early passion for poems and songs. He did his degree in literature. He wrote his first song “Thanaya Itulan Thagadhura Palukaa” for the first Telugu Talkie film, “Bhakta Prahlad”. His notable works include “Parithaapambu”, “Bheekarambagu Naa”, “Bhale Manchi Chowka Beramu”, and “Parabrahma Parameshwara”. He wrote 500+ Telugu Dramas and dialogues for Plays. He died on 14 May 1956 due to pain in his left kidney.
