The film was remade even in Kannada titled ‘Khushi Khushiyagi' which had Ganesh and Amulya in lead roles. Vijay Kumar Konda was given credit for story writing for the Kannada version too. This film had a budget of Rs 8.2 crores and had made a collection of Rs 22.6 crores. The film is considered to be one of the biggest hit in career actor Nitin, In 2014, Vijay Kumar Konda directed another movie 'Oka Laila Kasam' which was also considered another hit movie. The director Vijay Kumar Konda had come across an incident which took place in Warangal. The director went across an acid attack incident on a girl by an idiot boy, and the director developed the story from this incident. It seems the director met Nagarjuna when he was shooting for Manam, and both Nagarjuna and his son Naga Chaitanya listened to it.

Nagarjuna was so impressed by the story that he said he would produce the film and it will be made under his production house banner Annapoorna Studios. The film had a gala launch at Annapurna Studios and titled as 'Oka Laila Kosam'. The film had completed in many different schedules, and the final shooting got completed only in August 2014. The principal photography of the film had started in December 2013, and the whole shooting got completed within one year and eight months of the hectic schedule.

The film got delayed o account of Akkineni Nagewara Rao's sudden demise of Akkineni Nageswara Rao's death. Anoop Rubens was the music composer, and it was his second association with Vijay Kumar Konda. Music of the film was very melodious and had some fast tracks which were well accepted by the audiences.

The film music was launched on YouTube by Aditya Music' company on August 23, 2014. The film had excellent visuals, and this made the movie very refreshing. Vijay Kumar Konda's films production cost was very higher. Hence those film needed good marketing, and his movies proved a success at the box office.

But the two films that he directed proved that big chunk of the ticket sales went to theaters and distributors, and this made the distributors happy. In March 2017, Vijay Kumar Konda got married to his longtime girlfriend 'Prasunna'. The marriage was a high-secret affair. Only the groom’s family attended. Only when his family members posted the photos of his marriage ceremony picture on social media, people came to know about Vijay's wedding.
