K. Jayadev

K Jayadev is a filmmaker and journalist. He was brought up and taught in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. He had completed his college at the Madras Christian College. He just completed his feature film called Korangi Nunchi - who will Marry Thomas Produced by the National Film Development Corporation, Government of India. He was an Editor at the India Today Group and had served there for seven years. He was working for their specialized magazine called Computers Today and was an editor for South India. Jayadev was a principal correspondent for Express Computer. He was a correspondent in state capitals accredited to State Governments. He started a new publication called Nano India. This is a new monthly magazine which talks about Nano Science and Technology.

Jayadev created a movie based on a news story he read about the US war on Iran in a newspaper. He forced the administration to withdraw unprofitable transport services to particular places, among them Korangi. Jayadev was interested in affecting the local population, so he performed some studies and eventually came up with a script. The film was Korangi Nunchi. The film portrayed various popular themes, including marriage, superstition, parental neglect, and migration. The movie took place at a set built in the middle of a jungle near Sunnapadu for more than 22 days. There would be no cellphone network. The world was closed off from us. Jayadev is dedicated and confident that he can leave his mark. Also, he is eager to produce material for traditional platforms.

This might be Jayadev’s first experience with a feature film, but he has made numerous award-winning documentaries short and films like The Rhythm of Death, Surabhi, and Janani. Jayadev is a truly excellent analyzer. His estimates have never been wrong. He is a wonderful person to connect with and has a strong enthusiasm for journalism. He holds a wide range of knowledge about the media and the film world. Jayadev is determined to find challenges at work and generally enjoys overcoming them.
