Ramalingeswara Rao Kondapaneni, famously known as Ramlingam, was a renowned art director who also worked as an actor in the Telugu film Industry. Some of his famous works include Devudu Chesina Manushulu (1973), Ram Robert Rahim (1980), and Raktha Sindhuram (1985). He was born on 17th February, 1945 in Tenali, Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh. His father’s name is Kondapaneni Chalamaiah Chaudhary, who was an Ayurvedic physician, and his mother’s name is Sahadevamma. Ramalingeswara got married to Savitri in the year 1969 and has three children.
Ramalingeswara Rao Kondapaneni’s interest in cinema took him to Madras in 1960, where he started working as a publicity designer with Nimmagadda Venkateswara Rao. There he contributed to films like Aethabhaartu, Kalasi Vunte Kaladu Sukham, etc. Later, he switched his career from design to art direction. Ramalingeswara Rao Kondapaneni earned his name in the industry due to his fantastic works. He passed away on 15 May, 1995 due to liver failure in Hyderabad.
