Amar Noorie is also known as Amar Noori. She is an Indian actress and singer. She mainly works in the Punjabi film industry. Amar was born on 23rd May 1967 in Rangeelpur, Punjab, India. Amar’s father, Roshan Sagar, was a singer. Amar started her professional singing career when she was nine years old, and recorded her first song when she was 13. Amar met Sardool Sikander in 1986, and later, they used to sing together. On 30th January 1993, Amar Noorie and Sardool Sikander got married. They had two children. Later, Amar Noorie entered into the fields of acting and played various important and leading roles in the Punjabi films. She was also the playback singer of many films.

In 1982, Amar was a background dancer in the movie Rano. She played the role of Bhaano Kaur for one episode in the TV serial Eho Hamara Jeevna (1988). In 1991, Amar portrayed the characters of Preeto and Pasho in the films Udeekan Saun Diyan and Visakhi. In 1992, she appeared as Karmo - Balwant's sister in Jatt Punjab Daa. In 1996, Amar portrayed the character of Harpreet Kaur in the movie Panchayat. She appeared as Jassi Kaur in the film Mela (1997). Amar made a guest appearance, playing the role of Santo in the movie Shaheed-E-Mohabbat Boota Singh (1999). In 2006, she played the role of Amro in Dil Apna Punjab. In 2010, Amar appeared as Gurpyaar Singh in Tere Ishq Nachaya.

In 2012, Amar portrayed the characters of Soni and Bhua in the movies Pata Nahi Rabb Kehdeyan Rangan Ch Raazi and Aappan Pher Milange. Amar played the role of Dilraj Kaur in the movie Daddy Cool Munde Fool (2013). In 2016, she portrayed the character of Naseeb Kaur in the film Dulla Bhatti Wala. Noorie appeared as Prashant Kaur Randhawa in Shareek 2 (2022). Some of her album songs includes Bhangra, Phulkari, Addi Tappa, Nakhra 96, and many more.
