played prominent roles in this series. This series talks about a strong friendship and separation of two childhood friends. Misunderstandings and greed created animosity between the two best friends. Hence, it was up to the younger generation to help them rekindle their friendship. Chaudhary Karmjeet Singh (Mukesh Khanna) and Hardayal Singh (Girija Shankar) are childhood friends. Many look up to their friendship and strong bonding. Karmjeet marries his love Nikki (Rama Vij). It does not sit well with his best friend, Hardayal.
Nikki’s father and Hardayal’s father had an old feud. It resulted in the death of Hardayal’s father. Hence, he refuses to acknowledge the marriage of Karmjeet. He also considers it as Karmjeet’s betrayal and ends their lifelong friendship. After that, Hardayal sells his land and house and shifts to the city for good. The story then takes many twists and turns. In the end, Hardayal realizes his mistake and calls Nikki Bhabhi (sister-in-law). Chunni is a gripping tale of the journey of two friends from being friends to hateful enemies and then being friends again. Watching the characters of Mahabharat in new avatars through this series was also a refreshing and pleasant experience for the viewers. Chunni is also available on YouTube.
