Vishwajeet Borwankar nicknamed Vish, is a singer, composer, songwriter and music producer. He was born on November 22, 1984, in Mumbai. His father Milind Borwankar who worked as a Manager at Akhil Bhatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya in Mumbai, enlightened him with the knowledge of music at an early age. Vish was brought up in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He completed his schooling from Infant Jesus School and pursued his masters in music from University of Mumbai. He has been married to Gayatri Borwankar since December 8, 2008. The couple is blessed with an adorable daughter Shivanwita. Dr. Ramesh Deshpande who is a well known vocalist of present generation and an artist of laudable talent had a big influence as a guru for seven to eight years on Vishwajeet. Under the guidance of Dr. Ramesh Deshpande, Vish developed a great command on Gwalior gayaki.

He has also learnt and practiced music under the guidance of Late Pt. Babanrao Haldankar who was the mot respected and reputed classical singer of the Agra Gharana. He has been a part of “Sur Nava Dhyas Nava” which is an Indian Marathi musical game show aired on Colors Marathi. He got an opportunity to enter the Zee Marathi’s musical show “SA RE GA MA PA” 2011, where all his hardwork and practice rewarded him with the winner’s title. He has been awarded with Late Sitaram Dixit and Late Malti Dixit Award (Ganvardhan) along with Udayan Indubhai Award. He also bagged many scholarships including National Scholarship for Young Artists by Ministry of Culture, New Delhi. Vish is a loved singer and he performs live at concerts across India.
