He won the Zed Gaurav Purskar in 2011 as composer of the Marathi play Baya Dar Ughad, and in 2015 he won the Sanskruti Kala Darpan Award for the play Parampara. Devdatta has also worked as an actor in Vaarsaa (2016) and as a composer in BakulaNamdevGhotale (2007), AjabLagnachiGajab Gosht (2010), and Daupech (2010).
