He completed his higher education or college degree from the University of Mumbai. Shashikant Deshpande is a known director of the film Raja. It is a Marathi film showing a love triangle between two girls and a boy. The story revolves around their stories, showing the different aspects of love. Shashikant Deshpande also directed another film, Aakrandan. It is a story of a lady who faces injustice. She fights for injustice, and this further creates tension in the police department.
