Sukhad Munde is an Indian musician born in the great musical family of Pakhawaj Maestro Pt. Manik Munde. His inspiration are the legendary gurus Bhakt Ganesh, Anna Choudhary and Prof. Pt. Govindrao Deshmukh. He started training for Tabla Talim and Pakhawaj at six years of age, from his father and Guru, Pt. Manik Munde, under Guru-Shishya Parampara. He performs as a trio in Samvad and Sukhad Munde, which created a unique blend of sound. Sukhad is known as the most ancient drum of North Indian classical music. The other members of the trio are Virginia and Ignio who learned Western classical music since childhood.
They came to India, where they studied music for about ten years. Both have training in Bansuri flute and Dhrupad singing. It led them to create unique melodies that follow traditional principles, such as Raga and Tala. Sukhad met the Samvad duo in 2009 at the backstage of a mutual concert with Gundecha Brothers in Mumbai and together they created a blend of ancient and contemporary music. Since then, they have travelled all over India in music festivals and now to Europe. Some of the songs that they have created are Alap, Jor, Jhala, Composition in Sadra Taal, Rag Gunkali - Indian Classical meet Psy Chill Out, Rag Jaunpuri - Alap, jor, and jhala, Raga Amrit, Mandragola, Kafiusion.
