Mahendra Kadam is a celebrated writer and director of the Marathi film and television industry. Kadam completed his schooling at the NM Joshi Municipal Secondary School in 1987. In 1993, he obtained a B.Com. degree from the University of Mumbai. But even before Kadam completed his degree, he had already entered into theatrical shows. In 1984 Kadam joined the theater stage for the first time and expressed his passion for arts. In 1994 after completing his education, he entered professional theater by producing shows like Swapna Tarang, Manthan, and Kalechi Ye Nagri. In January 2000, Kadam joined Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited as a promo director at Alpha Marathi TV channel. With his hardwork and dedication, Kadam was promoted to the post of the director of the channel within 3 years. Under his direction, the channel created several successful shows.

In 2010, Kadam left his previous post and joined Sakshi Entertainment, where he wrote the script for and directed the Marathi film Superstar. The film hit the theaters in 2011. At this time, he started working for Disney Star. Here, Kadam directed several other hit shows of the industry, like- Maharashtra Cha Nach Baliye, Aata Houn Jaudya, Ga Saha Jani, and Ek Tappa Out Story Soon >> Read More... . Simultaneously in 2011, he had joined Viacom18 Media Private Limited where he directed Aflatoon, Aapan Hyanna Haslat Ka, Darshan, and Divided. Kadam’s contribution to the industry has primarily been to TV shows so far. The Marathi comedy film Superstar marked his directing debut in the film industry.
