Gayatri Patil is an Indian director and producer working primarily in the Marathi film industry. She gained popularity for directing the 2019 film Photo Prem. She debuted with Photo Prem to high critical acclaim. The film featured Nina Kulkarni in the lead role. Along with the screenwriter Aditya Rati, Patil created a film commenting on the superficiality of appearances and the dissonance between self-perception and the perception of the world. The film premiered at the International Film Festival of India in 2019 to widespread acclaim and applause. The film was theatrically released in 2021 and later released through Over-The-Top platforms.
