Omkar Shirgaonkar

Omkar Shirgaonkar is an Indian writer. He has been working as a Creative Director at Digi Osmosis in Mumbai, Maharashtra since May 2019. After completing his early education, he went to the Mumbai University, Mumbai to pursue his studies in BMM & Advertising. Therefore, he has strong media and communication professional with a BMM focused in Advertising. He has a numerous skills in studio managers, scriptwriting, video production, film production, storytelling, digital media, creative writing, screen writing, television, and others. Omkar Shirgaonkar has been living in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Omkar Shirgaonkar has an experience as a content producer with a demonstrated history of working in the marketing and advertising industry. From Aug 2010 to Jan 2011, he worked as an Assistant Script Writer as a freelancer in Mumbai. He scripted episodes for television show- “Rexona Saam Gurukul” on Saam TV. Also, he engaged as an assistant director for ETV Marathi show “Wow” and worked for the research team. After that, he was a content writer at Forysta Ventures Limited in Andheri, Mumbai for almost a year. He maintained website, updating it, and co-ordinated with latest brands about the offers.

He supervised and managed national campaigns like HT NO TV Day’ (sponsored by HT Newspaper) & MasterCArd Campaigns (sponsored by MasterCard). He then engaged as a content & script writer at Trivone Digital Services in Lower Parel, Mumbai for two years. He maintained & uploading content for websites of TFR, STAR Pravah, Movies OK & STAR Gold, and handled social media platforms like Facebook & Twitter pages. Also, he featured in TechTree’s YouTube channel. Moreover, he conceptualised video ideas for “Nach Baliye” (STAR Plus), “Koffee with Karan” (STAR World), and “Tech Videos.” From Apr 2014 to Dec 2014, he engaged as a production manager & scriptwriter at White Horse International in Malad, Mumbai. He was responsible for creative and production related activities – On-Floor Management, Channel Coordination, and Post-Production supervision. Also, he has translated more than thousands episodes of a Marathi Cookery show “Aamhi Saare Khawaiye” in Hindi. Later, he was a Studio Manager at Hopscotch.in in Prabhadevi, Mumbai for over a year. At Reliance Jio, he was a creative writer – manager for over a year. He ideated, conceptualized & written scripts for ads, cause videos, and short digital fiction films. He also guided and trained the intern in expanding the concepts into executable scripts. From Jun 2018 to Mar 2019, he was a creative producer at Nitya Media Pvt Ltd. He started off as a dialogue writer for a Marathi feature film “Vrutti.” Eventually, he ended up becoming the creative producer for the same film.
