Akshay Rane

Akshay Rane is a popular Marathi cinematographer. He is based in Mumbai, India. He pursued a bachelor's in accounts and finance at K.P.B. HINDUJA college from 2009-2011. He then earned a diploma in cinematography and film video production from L.S. Raheja Technical Institute in 2012-13. Later on, he worked as a cinematographer at First Rain Films from July 2018 to October 2018. Akshay worked as a freelancer for 7 months before becoming the proud co-founder of Blackboard Motion Pictures.

Akshay has an experience of 5 years of working in the motion pictures, corporate videos, and film industry. He has worked for popular platforms like Network 18, Star Sport, and First Post. He is proficient in Hindi, English, and Marathi. Some of his popular projects include Bioscope (2015), Timepass 2 (2015), Baji (2015), Jara Hatke (2016), Dagdi Chawl 2 (2022) and Maharashtra Shaheer (2023). Akshay Rane also has experience working as a cinematographer for T.V. series. He has directed a few short films like Society and Lakshmi.
