David Furtado

David Furtado is a state-level hockey player and choreographer. He was selected in the top 16 for Goa’s football team. Kids, youngsters, and seniors, undoubtedly and unanimously adore his personality and talent. He has a huge list of accolades to his credit. He has worked with Bollywood stars and prestigious institutions like Jindal and Tata Steel, which has gained him huge respect in society. Despite his fame, he prefers to maintain a low profile and lead a low-key life. His passion and commitment to his art is inspiring. His life trajectory goes from a sportsman to a dancer and then to a choreographer.

Since childhood, extracurricular activities used to excite David more than academics. He was very active in cultural events in school and used to take part in various dance competitions. He has won awards in inter-school dancing competitions. He never restricted himself to dance. Besides dance, he was interested in sports as well. He was the captain of the Hockey team during his college days. He was also one of the top 16 football players at the state level.

As time went by, David connected to dance on a spiritual level. He used to work at the hotel Taj Vivanta in Goa as a Coordinator of Entertainment activities, where he choreographed activities from small-scale to big-scale events. Eventually, his interest in dancing transformed into passion. He took up choreography as his career and became the choice of many big celebrities and brands for choreographing their shows. Besides choreographing big shows, David has also directed music videos in Goa and used to teach dance in various schools of Goa. In 2007, David opened an academy for dance and aerobics – The David Furtado Dance Academy. He believes dance and exercising the mind are necessary to keep the heart and soul alive and in rhythm. He has extended his helping hand to fulfill the dreams of many youngsters. He has transformed many aspiring artists into skilled instructors. He is an inspiring personality who gives complete justice to his passion.
