Chinmay Patwardhan is a budding actor in the Indian film industry. He was born and brought up in Pune. He has worked in several short films, TV shows, and theater plays. As a child, Chinmay attended the Deccan Education Society's New English School, Ramanbag, Pune. He joined the Sir Parashurambhau College in Pune for a Bachelor's and later, a Master's in Counseling Psychology. His pursuit of wisdom in the world of expression did not end here. After this, he went to the renowned Savitribai Phule Pune University for a Master's in Philosophy and completed the course with flying colors in 2023. Chinmay's excellent communication and listening skills along with a creative mind, helped him come a long way in acting. He has worked for over 15 years in the theaters and everyday he still continues to diversify his experiences.

His first role in the industry was as a supporting actor in the 2008 movie Yuvvraaj. In the next few years, he appeared in short films like Pizza (2008) and Vartul (2009). It was finally in 2018 that he got some prominent roles in the industry. He was seen in Hostel Daze, a Marathi musical drama, and in 2019, he starred in Sur Sapata and Swamini. For some time in his career, Chinmay also worked as a drama teacher at Grammangal in Pune in 2017. One of Chinmay's notable works was in the Marathi short film, Baatmi. Indraneel Nighojkar directed the film in 2018, and subsequently in the next year, it was selected in the New York Indian Film Festival, as well as in the South Asian Film Festival.
