Ajit Abhyankar works as a social activist while pursuing his love of acting. He serves as a visiting professor at the Symbiosis College of Liberal Arts in Pune, where he offers knowledge on topics like Marxism and the political process. Professionally, he spent a period teaching commerce in the senior division at BMCC, Pune, from 1981 to 1997.
