Ajit Abhyankar works as a social activist while pursuing his love of acting. Professionally, he spent a period teaching commerce in the senior division at BMCC, Pune, from 1981 to 1997. He took the important decision to resign from his post in 1997 so that he could devote himself completely to fighting for the rights of the working class.
