Kavalam Sreekumar is a distinctive classical musician born on March 3, 1959, in Kavalam, Alappuzha, Kerala, India. One can take a glimpse of his charming personality with a fascinating voice in Malayalam films. He has sung Ramayana and almost sixty amazing Malayalam poems. His father, Kavalam Narayana panicker, is a dramatist and Malayalam poet. He had an elder brother, Harikrishna, who died in 2009. Sreekumar completed his education in music. He gave a boost to his career working with all India radio from 1985 to 2007. Renowned violinist B.Sasikumar was his trainer and a guide in the path of healing music. He won a prize in the university youth festival and it was his first. The latest award he got is from Kerala Sangeet Natak Academy in the year 2012.
