P K Sarangapani was an Indian screenwriter, poet, and director who was born on July 28, 1925, in Alappuzha, Kerala, India, and died on February 2, 2011, at a private hospital in Cherthala, Alappuzha, Kerala. He has primarily worked for the Malayalam film industry. He has written the dialogue and screenplay for 36 films, most of which were produced by Kunchacko's Udaya Studios. Vadakkanpattu-related historical dramas make up the majority of his films. He was known for his notable work in several films like Neeli Sali (1960), Palattu Koman (1962), Postmane Kananilla (1972), Manishada (1975), Kannappanunni (1977), and Palattu Kunjikannan (1980). Kadathanadan Ambadi (1990), and many more.
