Kedamangalam Ali is a Malayalam film actor during the 60s and 70s. He was born in the year 1932 in Kedamangalam, Ernakulam District, in Kerala.
Kedamangalam started his career in the year 1961; he debuted in
Ramu Kariat’s Malayalam film, Mudiyanaya Puthran, a film adaptation of Thoppil Bhasi’s stage play in 1957. This was followed by an appearance in the Malayalam film, Ninamaninja Kalpadukal, in 1963. This film won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Malayalam and became a blockbuster film. In the same year, he was seen in Sathyan-starrer Moodupadam, which was directed by Ramu Kariat and in P. Bhaskaran’s Ammaye Kaanaan. In the year 1964, he had three releases; two of them were Sathyan-starrers namely
Thacholi Othenan and Aadyakiranangal and one was with
Prem Nazir in the horror-romance film, Bhargavi Nilayam. This was followed by films like Kochumon, Ammu, NGO, Aval, Nadhi, Poompatta, Kandavarundo, Chenda, Maram, Nellu, Thomasleeha, Abhimaanam, Dweepu, Ormakal Marikkumo and a lot more. His last film appearance was in P Chandrakumar’s Enne Njan Thedunnu in the year 1983.
Kedamangalam Ali died on April 26, 1986.
