Prasad and his mother’s name is Mrs Girijakumari. He completed his graduation in electronics and communication from Amrit Vishwa Vidyapeetham. In 2008, he married Maya Ranjan and now he is a father of two kids named Durga Nikhil and Mantra Nikhil. Nikhil started his carrier as a Technical Manager at Amrita Tv in 2008. He worked there till 2013. On 1 April 2018, he registered Karikku as a company and started his YouTube channel. Karikku was created by him and 12 people. Now it is established as the top digital company in Kerala.

He made his debut as a director and writer in Thera Pera, which was released in 2018. After this, he directed the web series Plus Two, Gym Boys, Onam Sadhya, Pk, Bhaskaran Pillai Technologies, Rock Paper Scissors, Ripper, Doosra, Thiruvonam, Rock Paper Scissors (Season 2), Scoot, Average Ambili, Dj, Babu And Mothalali Phone Call.
