Vasanth Santosham is a renowned Indian actor and producer. He was born on 29 March 1976 in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. He is a professional actor focused mainly on chasing excellence in his craft and passing it down to the new generations. He taught at Butler University for a while as an interim professor. His classes were intense, as he needed his students to take this craft seriously.
He took acting classes while he was studying for a pre-med degree at Wayne State University in Michigan. An instructor there noticed his talent and told him he should try becoming a professional actor. Following the instructor’s advice, Santosham got a degree in theatre from Wayne State and enrolled in a study program at the Moscow Art Theatre School in Russia, where he studied under some of the greatest Russian actors.
He is popularly known for his work in the film Bhopal: A Prayer for Rain (2014). His other works include Bleeding Green (2018) and Achchamundu! Achchmundu! (2009), Good Night Good Morning (2010), Body of Lies (2008), Stealing Tarantino (2006) and Silent Partner (2005). Santosham believes that the life of an actor usually works in cycles of three to four months as most of the projects are done in three or four months, so, by the time you are finished working with one thing something else comes up.
