Lee Ji-eun

Lee Ji-Eun is a famous South Korean singer and composer, popularly known by her stage name, IU in the music industry. Lee was born on 16 May 1993, in Seoul, South Korea. She started her career in singing at the age of 15 by debuting with her mini-album “Lost and Found” in 2008. Aside from being a versatile singer, Lee has enacted incredible characters in dramas like Hotel del Luna and Dream High, expanding her popularity around the nation for her screen talents.

IU released her 2011 music albums Real+, and Last Fantasy, which became a successful head start to her solidified singing career. Her music production became popular in a concise span and thrived extensively on the Korean music charts. She continued to dominate the music chart with her albums and song-writing, including Modern Times, Chat-Shire, Lilac, Good Day, and Hold My Hand. The track named "The Story I Didn't Know" slammed the daily charts in a single day. Billboard crowned IU as the dominant singer of  K-pop industry with the most highly ranked songs. Additionally, she has also been presented by Forbes under the most influential people of Korea several times. 

Also, her powerful aura in the entertainment industry quickly gained her limelight, and she starred in acclaimed dramas including “You’re the Best”, “My Mister”, “Moon Lovers” and “The Producers”. The theatres got excellent top ratings for their tremendous outlook and Lee's performance in it.
