Yook Sung-Jae is a South Korean singer, entertainer, composer, and actor. He is also known as Sungjae. He was born in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, on May 2, 1995. He has two sisters, one younger and the other older. Yook is from a business-oriented family. He may have developed his acting and K-pop idol talents while at Hanlim Multi Art School. He has spent a month studying in both England and Philippines. In 2014, he completed his studies at Hanlim Multi Art School and went on to Dongshin University to study Practical Music. From his father, he learned how to catch a fish. Fishing, Snowboarding and shopping are just a few of his favorite pastimes. While fishing, he believes that he gets plenty of time to think about numerous topics. He also enjoys playing video games.
He is prominently known for being a member of the popular K-pop boy band ‘BtoB’. Cube Entertainment is his management company. His fame surged when his on-screen girlfriend Joy of Red Velvet featured with him in the famous reality show "We Got Married – Season Four." After receiving praises and prizes for the show - "We Got Married," he teamed up with Joy to record "Young Love." This show boosted his fame to new heights, landing him in the hit television series 'Guardian: The Lonely and Great God.' In 2016, he was appointed as an ambassador of the King Sejong Institution. He had taken an active role in the welfare program. Yook participated in a fundraiser in 2015 to benefit the low-income children by auctioning things to the Social Welfare Community Fund for Love. He also gave Jeonbuk National University Hospital 3 million South Korean Won.
