Kang Ki-young, also known as Kang Gi Yeong, Gang Gi Yeong, or Kang Ki Yeong, is a South Korean actor, born on October 14, 1983. Kang Ki-young’s place of birth is Incheon, South Korea. He went to the University of Suwon to pursue his education in the Department of Theatre and Film. He is also an avid animal lover. He has a Bichon Frise breed dog named Envy. He married his long-term girlfriend in May 2019, with whom he has a son.

Kang Ki-young is famous for his supporting roles in many popular Korean dramas. He has acted in more than eighteen hit movies and television series. In 2012, he marked his acting career through the South Korean television series “The King’s Doctor.” The show aired on MBC, and he portrayed the role of a horse doctor. Later, he played the role of Wang Poong in the television show “Shine or Go Crazy,” aired on MBC.

In 2016, he engaged as an ambassador at the tenth Green Ribbon Marathon. In 2017, he marked his theatrical film debut in the comedy film “Daddy You, Daughter Me,” directed by Kim Hyeong-Hyeop. The film is based on the Japenese novel ‘Papa to Musume no Nanokakan’ by Takahisa Igarashi. He also appeared in various shows, including Village Survival, the Eight (2018 – 2019), Run (2020), and Petkage (2021). In 2018, he won the ‘Best Supporting Actor in a Wednesday – Thursday Drama’ and ‘Bromance Award with So Ji-sub and Son Ho-jun’ at MBC Drama Awards for the role in “ My Secret Terrius Apart from cute K dramas, thriller dramas like thi >> Read More... .”

Also, he won the ‘Excellence Award, Actor’ at the 12th Korea Drama Awards for his role in “At Eighteen” in 2019. For his role in “ Exit Exit is a Ullu web series. Also, he won the Best Supporting Actor at the 14th Soompi Awards for his role in the film “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim.”
