Syed Javed Naeem

Syed Javed Naeem is a writer cum director in the Hindi TV industry. He completed his schooling at Syedna Tahir Saifuddin School. While in school, Syed played junior skating hockey at the national level. He graduated in Sociology at Jamia Millia Islamia. He completed his Masters in mass communication and filmmaking.

In 2002, he worked as a talk show director in ETV Urdu. In 2004, he joined NDTV’s Programming Department. He handled pre-production, production and post-production in programming. In 2006, he joined as an assistant professor at NIFT. He taught voice acting, communication, and independent filmmaking skills. In 2007, he joined Saffron Films as the post-production head. He worked on Salaam India as the post-production head. He was the executive producer for Sony Entertainment Television from 2007 to 2009. In 2014, he worked as a writer at Big Magic. He was employed in Storytelling, Character Development, TV series, Fiction writing and directing.

In 2015, he worked as a director at McKinsey & Company. He also worked in Shelly Suman Productions as the creative director for PTC Punjabi’s reality show VOPCC-2. He worked at the Chahat Special School Society as a director, and created a promotional video for an NGO. Since 2022, he has worked as a freelance television show writer and director. Syed has worked for Zee TV, ABP News, Colors TV, Reliance Big Magic, Mastii, DD National, DD Urdu, and CSR Films. He also worked for Punjab Government ads.  In 2024, he scripted and directed a short film, Jaldi Jaldi.
