Gyan Ranjan is a renowned Hindi writer born in Akola, Maharashtra, India. He is an award-winning author with many untold stories. His stories were first seen in a magazine from Allahabad (now Prayagraj) during the 1950-60s. He was then serving as a Professor at GS College, Jabalpur. His popular writing deals with the lifestyle and thoughts of middle-class families. He has centralized each perception of average class individuals. 6 of his stories collection is available in various languages.
These 83-year-old gem stories were even selected by NCERT for educational studies. He's honored with several awards like National Maithili Sharma Gupt Samman, Soviet Land Nehru Award, Sahitya Bhusan Saaman of Uttar Pradesh Hindi Organization, Seekhar Saaman of Sanskrit Department and many more. Currently, he has slowed down writing due to age and residing in Ramnagar, Jabalpur.
