Gopal Kulkarni

Gopal Kulkarni, born on 24th July, is an Indian screenwriter and creative director who works predominantly in the Hindi television industry. He hails from Mumbai, Maharashtra, and is known for being the screenplay writer of numerous supernatural series. Gopal went to St. Thomas High School in Mumbai. He obtained a diploma in Computer Engineering in 2003 and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the University of Mumbai in 2006. He started his career as an Associate Consultant with Capgemini in 2006. From 2008 to 2012, Gopal worked with multiple firms such as HSBC and Cognizant. In 2012, Gopal decided to switch his career to screenwriting.

He got hired by Fireworks Productions and wrote numerous episodes for CID and Shapath. Gopal was the screenwriter of the 2012 series Supercops V/S Supervillains. He was the writer of 525 episodes spanning over five years. In 2013, Gopal wrote an episode’s story for the Sony TV serial C.I.D. Chhote Heroes. He was also the screenplay and story writer for the popular investigation series C.I.D from 2013 to 2014. Gopal started working as a freelance screenplay writer in 2014.
